Cheap Fun Dates : Fun Date Ideas Teens

If you are teens and you don't have a lot of money, you can create cheap fun dates. Take your date to a traditional dinner-and-movie, and odds are you'll be spending at least $70--before you even hit the theater's concession stand! Fortunately, there are lots of ways to have a great, fun date for less. And you don't need to look like a cheapskate to do it! These date ideas just make you look creative and interesting:

PICNIC IN THE PARK: 

 

For less than $25, you can create a picnic of wine, bread, cheese and fruit. Pack it up in a basket or cooler, and haul it to the park (or another secluded spot). Spread a blanket in the grass and you've got an instant romantic date. For entertainment, bring along a Frisbee or deck of cards.

VIDEO NIGHT:

 

 Why pay $20 for movie tickets when you can spend $4 on a movie rental? Just head to your local video store to pick the perfect flick (you'll look especially thoughtful if you stick to the genre your date prefers). Pop some microwave popcorn, bring out the Junior Mints, and snuggle together on the couch. Your total cost of the evening can be under $10.

Community theater or high school plays can be just as interesting to watch as the pros--and the tickets are just a fraction of the price. The same goes for free jazz music in a cigar bar, or classic tunes in a piano bar. Even poetry readings or open mic nights can provide great, free entertainment. Check your local bookstore for author speakers or readings, too.
